Also known as leather burning! You may have seen wooden items with designs burnt into them, well it is possible to do the same with leather also. It is rather more delicate on leather and the tools have to be a little more precise, but the basics are the same - a hot piece of metal is passed over the leather which burns and leaves a mark.

I have a number of typefaces I am able to roughly reproduce in pyrography (don't expect it to be laser-sharp, that's not possible) You can see below a few of the covers I have burnt recently.
